2nd Annual Hurricane Trip

Over Mother's Day weekend, we ventured down to Hurricane with our friends. We rented a home that belongs to our friends Uncle last year and we all had so much fun, we decided to make it an annual occurrence. We had a ton of fun down their and the kids had a total blast because they had friends to play with 24/7.
In downtown St. George, there is a little park that has a little river and water features for the kids to play in that we went to and they had so much fun just running and splashing in the water.

We also went on the hike to Snow Canyon again.
Our kids did so well and had so much fun, that
we thought we would show the rest of the gang.

my second husband, so they insisted we get a

And the winner is.............

COOPER!!!!!!!!

Each year Cooper's school does the "Road to Success" where every time a student reads 100 minutes, they turn in a drawing slip for a chance to win a bike. There are 4 bikes for the whole school and this year Cooper won one of them!!!!!!! We went to the assembly today and he didn't know that he had won the bike, so he was very doubtful and kept saying, "I'm not going to win the bike." It was so cute to see his face when he won.

first thing he did was turn to look at me.

When we picked up the girls, Kendall looked in the back and said, "That's a cool bike, Coop!!!" Cooper then said, "It's not a cool bike Kendall. It's the best bike I have ever had!!"

A Little Bit About Kendall

Kendall has the cutest little personality and says the cutest things and I thought I would record them so that I will be able to remember them. Everyone always says that she has a cute little voice and I would have to agree. On top of that, she makes up her own way to say words. Here are a few examples:
popsisle = popsicle
movie-ater = movie theater
hagamer = hamburger

She also says thing that just bring a smile to my face. Here is one of our conversations:
K- "Mom, can you play with me?"
M- "Sure. Just let me finish cleaning up the kitchen."
K-"Now can you play with me?"
M-"Yup, just let me put the rag in the dirty clothes."
On my way over to play with her, I pick up a few toys and put them away.
K- "I am starting to get really mad!!!!"
M- "How come sweetie?"
K- "Mom, you are making me mad because you won't play with me."
I just had to laugh because I always say that I am starting to get mad. It just makes me laugh to hear them mirror what I say.

Cooper's First Field Trip!!!

The day was long awaited that Cooper would be able to go on a field trip and ride a bus. I think that was all he talked about all year and every time he would see a school bus, he would ask me when he would be able to ride on one. Well, the day finally came and we all loaded in the bus to head to the Ogden Nature Center. Cooper was so excited and he looked so stinkin' cute just sitting there on the bus. Here is this tiny kid sitting on this huge seat and it made me realize that this is the first of many bus rides for him and he is just going to keep getting bigger and bigger. It is so sad!!!!!!

don't think I liked that very much.

kid is so small and he was being drown out by
everyone else.

As we were walking back to the bus, I saw
Cooper looking out the window waiting for me
and I just couldn't resist taking a picture.

School Project

Cooper's class had an assignment to make an animal habitat and bring it to school so that they could have a class zoo and have their 4th grade buddies come visit their zoo. Each child was instructed to think of an animal and what it ate and where it lived and then figure out a way to display it. Upon much pondering, Cooper decided to display his bunny. I was very impressed with him because he came up with all of the ideas by himself. He said that he wanted to make a little hut for it and then have some grass, carrots, and hay, because that's what they eat. We ventured to the dollar store and Cooper picked everything out himself. He even found a wind chime decoration that he said would be perfect for a fence. With supplies in hand, this is what he came up with.......................


Cooper did everything himself except for cutting the fence and making the carrots. Coop, we are so proud of you!!!!!

The Big 34!!!!

This year Ted turned the big 34!!! He is such a great guy and has been working so hard lately, that we tried to make his birthday weekend special. Since he just got a new job, I road Front Runner down to Salt Lake and we went to The Roof on Temple Square. It was so much fun to be by ourselves and to be able to indulge in such yummy food.

Since we left the kids at home for the celebration, Ted chose to go to Texas Roadhouse on his birthday for dinner. As you can see below, he had a wonderful time eatin' some grub and ropin' in the cattle.

This year the kids picked out their own birthday presents
for Dad. Kendall chose at a stamp and an ink pad and Cooper
chose at a flashlight and batteries. It was so cute.

Lagoon

We were fortunate enough to head to Lagoon this year thanks to the kindness of Ted's nephew. He received family discount passes and we reaped the benefits.

Every time it would stop and we would get off,
she would just scream. It was so cute to see her
like something so much!!!
