Our Anniversary

We celebrated our 8th anniversary this year and our 11th year since we met and I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by. Who knew that 8 years later we would have 3 kids, a mortgage, 2 college degrees and lots of fun memories together.

On our first Anniversary, Ted bought me a rose and told me he would buy me a long stem rose for every year we had been married. I thought that was so romantic, but as the years have gone by, the bill was getting heftier and heftier. To my surprise, Ted bought me a different variety of flowers this year and I was very pleased. This was one promise I did not care if he kept because these were a lot cheaper and to me, they were still really pretty.

This year we did not know what to do to celebrate, so we decided to do something we did a lot when we were dating. We went rollerblading and let me tell you what. We forgot to factor in the fact that we were 11 years younger back then. It was a ton of fun and I even got a pretty good laugh when Ted fell on his butt. Nothing says love like your spouse laughing so hard she is about ready to pee her pants and trying to ask if you are okay.


After we had done all the rollerblading our bodies could handle, we headed up to the canyon to eat at the Oaks. It was so pretty and relaxing up there and the food wasn't bad either. Overall it was a great day and it wouldn't have mattered what we did. I was just glad to have a night out with my hubby!!! Happy Anniversary!!!
