Randomness

Aside from being pregnant and tired, things have been really busy lately.  We have gymnastics, dance, two kids in soccer, scouts, baseball, and activity days.  Some weeks are a little hectic and I haven't had much time for blogging.  Here are some random pictures as to what we have been up to lately.

I am now 25 weeks and this picture was taken at 24.  It's
crazy how something so little can cause so much discomfort.
Especially now that I am older :)

Ted just had to go to this bees game to watch the other team (this
seems to be a recurring thing for him).  He never seems
to be rooting for the home team.  It was really cold and I didn't want to
go, but we ended up having a lot of fun and received free Grand Slam
dinners to Denny's because a Bee's player hit a grand slam.  We were
pretty excited because it was $30 in free food!!!!

A random photo of the kids getting out of the tub and us
having a lazy Sunday.

Ted's friend Jason was kind enough to help us do our garage
floor and Ted was super excited.  He has been wanting to do
this for quite a while.

Getting started on the floor.

Ted new pride and joy all finished:)

Catching Up

I have a lot of catching up to do with what has been going on over the last few months.  We have been super busy and on top of that, we are having another baby!!!!  I am officially 19 weeks today and everything has been going well so far.  I was just really nauseated the first trimester and it was kind of difficult to do anymore than was necessary through the holidays.

This is me at 17 1/2 weeks

So these are the only 4 pictures I have of Cooper's birthday.  Am I a good mom or what?  We actually left the kids on his birthday and headed up to Park City for a couples weekend with our friends.  I was feeling really bad, but he got to go play at his cousin's house all weekend and he had a blast.

We had planned a grandparent dinner the Sunday before his birthday, but a big huge snowstorm hit and no one could come.  Cooper was feeling pretty bad, so I called our friend's the Jones' who live down the street and they helped us eat all the food.

The kiddos all waiting for yummy dessert.  Every person had seconds.

Cooper asked for a fruit trifle for his birthday cake and it turned out
pretty yummy if I do say so myself.

Morgan

Morgan is such a cute, vibrant little girl with quite the imagination and will power.  I was looking at our pictures for this year and came across these two photos.  One of her favorite things to do is dress up and a few days before this picture, she received these Mickey ears at a party.  I love the disheveled morning hair paired with Ted's hiking shoes.  Doesn't get cuter than that!!!

We are trying to get this little girl to stop sucking her thumb and it has been very challenging on my patience.  I feel so guilty sometimes taking it away from her, but I know it has to be done.  She is now done with naps because she can't sleep without it and she gets frustrated very easily.  Hopefully this challenge will end soon and she will return to her happy little self.

This little girl has had a few rough months.  Back in November, Morgan stuck her hand in the treadmill while Ted was exercising.  She always loved to be down in the basement by us playing with her toys and she always stayed by the side.  That night I had told her on our way home from Foster's that daddy was exercising.  She got so excited and said she needed to get her barbies and go play by him.  She did just that when we got home and I continued to make dinner.  All of a sudden I heard a horrible scream and I immediately knew what had happened.  I ran downstairs as fast as I could and was horrified at her little hand.  At first we thought it was bone that we could see, but then we realized that it had been cauterized.  I took her to the instacare and they wrapped it up and sent us home.  We then spent the next month and a half at many doctors appointments, including the burn center at the U of U.  She now has to wear a compression glove 24/7 for the next 6-18 months.  She has been a little trooper and hardly ever complained about her little hand hurting.

Pinewood Derby

Cooper had his first pinewood derby this year and I think all in all it turned it pretty good.  I think Ted and Cooper were both pretty excited about this project and Cooper could not wait until the big day.

Cooper and Mom working on the decals for the car.  Ted and
Cooper decided on a Nascar theme and it turned out great!!

The cars ready to head down the track.

Cooper's car looked awesome, but didn't place in the top
three.  I think he was disappointed.

The boys and all of their cars and awards.

Cooper's den was in charge of the flag ceremony and I
always think it is so stinkin' cute to see this little guy
trying to hold the flag.

A Few Thoughts

I haven't posted on my blog for a long time because I am out of storage space for photos.  My plan was to transfer some of the stuff to a photo book and delete those posts, but that hasn't happened yet.  Anyway, I realized that I am missing out on memories and that I can still write about them.

Cooper's 3rd grade went on a field trip this week and he came home one day and asked me to go with him.  I was so excited because he is getting to the point where I am not nearly as cool to be seen with at school.  I told him that I would go and found a babysitter for Morgan.  I was prepared for major chaos with trying to keep tabs on numerous boys, and to my surprise, there were only two kids in my group including Cooper.  This was absolutely wonderful because the other boy, Watson, is reserved like Cooper and it was actually a very relaxing day (other than the bus ride).  It was so fun to see him so excited and having such a great time interacting with his friends.  When we got back to the school, he surprised me by giving me a hug in front of everyone!!!!  Makes a mom feel good.  That night he gave me tons of hugs and then finally said, "Mom, thanks for coming with me today.  I had a lot of fun."  I told him I had fun too and that I had to come on these things while he wasn't embarrassed to be around me.  He just smiled and walked away.  Later that night I was leaving for a dinner and Cooper stuck his head out of the garage door just enough so that no one would see him and he blew me a kiss.  It was the sweetest thing ever and melted my heart.

Morgan, Cooper, and Kendall were playing with legos a few weeks ago and they had quite a funny little conversation going:
Morgan:  I don't have another bed and I can't buy one.
Kendall:  How come?
Morgan:  Because my husband won't let me.
Kendall:  Oh.  Well you just go and buy it anyway without telling him.
Cooper:  Yeah.  Then you just take off the tags and he will never know.
I was laughing so hard.  Ted didn't find it as funny as I did, but I reassured him that I don't pull those kinds of tricks on him.  Kids!!!!

Last thought.  We have been working on stopping Morgan's thumb sucking for the last two weeks and it has been pretty rough.  This week, especially, because Ted has been out of town all week and we have had a super crazy week.  One night while I was putting Morgan to bed, she kept saying she needed a bandaid on her thumb because it hurt.  It was red, raw, and and really dry.  I told her that if I put a bandaid on it, she wouldn't be able to suck her thumb.  She kept pushing for the bandaid and so I finally put one on.  She slept through the night and so we decided to keep it wrapped up.  It has made it so she won't nap and by the end of the day she is really tired.  I have wanted to give in so many times and I actually feel bad for her.  We will see how this goes.

A Snowy Day!!!!

Yesterday was our first big snow day of the year and everyone was really excited.  Ted's brother Scott ended up coming over for the day, so Cameron and Skyler played in the snow with the kids.

Ted loves to take pictures of our house in the snow

The clan bundled up.

Don't you just love this little face?

Kendall cracked me up with all her winter accessories.  I hat,
scarf, and earmuffs.  She kept saying how warm she was.  I
can see why! :)

Ted tossing Coop into the snow.  They thought it was pretty fun.

Now it's Kendall's turn.  He looks like he is being mean.

The kids ganging up on Scott.

Ted trying to throw snowballs at Skyler.  I love his pose.

This is such a good pic of Cooper.  Look at is form.  :)

Halloween

The kids were all old enough that everyone absolutely loved Halloween and all of the festivities this year.  Morgan thought trick or treating was the coolest thing ever and she loved that everyone thought she was cute.  She was such a trooper and hung in there with the kids even with walking a mile home from school that day.

Our festivities started early with getting all of our pumpkins
out of our garden.

The fam and the pumpkins.  The pumpkins are not nearly
as big as Ted had hoped, but the kids thought it was pretty cool.

These kids are definitely their father's children.  Who poses
with a zombie guy?

Ted and I had a friend party to go to so at the last minute we decided
to be old people.  I had always wanted to cut Ted's hair like this for
a Halloween party and it finally came to pass.  He looked really hot.  Let me tell ya.

Morgan and her little preschool buddies: Brady, McKayla, and Ethan

One of Ted's Mom's traditions was to make witches hats, so we
went up to Ted's Dad's and decorated them with Ted's brother, Scott, and his kids.

Scott and his crazy kids Casey, Cameron, and Skyler

The crazy clan.  Who are these people?  If you look close as Kendall's
face, it is a crack up.  Frank ate his witches hat before everyone was even
done decorating them.

The night before Halloween, we had my mom and Boyd down
for dinner and decorated pumpkins.  Here is Kendall's work of art.

The clan getting into the Halloween spirit.

Morgan and her "scary" pumpkin.

The finished product.

The kids on Halloween night.  Cooper was a soccer zombie,
Kendall was a witch and Morgan was a cowgirl.

The cutest soccer zombie ever!!

Morgan told me she was a stinkin' cute cowgirl.  I have to agree.

The cutest little witch ever!!!!
